THE EDGE UPDATE: branding

Working for The edge has been super fun and inspiring. It has allowed me an opportunity to enter every field of digital media I could dream of. It has been such a cool opportunity to truly find my passion. I have not found what exactly it is I am extremely passionate about but I am having a great time experiencing. Many people don’t know what Edge is and I took it as an opportunity to start fresh by giving Edge an image. Through my work in classes, I know that it is important to attract your target audience with one concise message. We are a subset of the marketing department providing the Gannon student experience in ways only Gannon students could portray.
My first official project for the Edge is Branding. I was given this opportunity to use all the equipment used by the marketing department. This is so that we as integrated marketing influencers treat our platform as a laboratory. This project required me to personally schedule all of my team members to come in and be filmed. I filmed individual members to show their true personalities. This project was to show so many different types of people coming together to and becoming a team. We are all so diverse but are very close. The ideas is to see us all raw and uncut. This is not where you’d find the “Gannon answers”, which are scripted university styled answers. This is the awkward, weird, quirky, unique answers that we all actually want to give without the pressure that loses personality. While doing that I was responsible for trying to manage all of our time and create time in my schedule to get all of the filming done in a week was a goal I set for myself. I also took on the role of a director and truly wanted the raw vibe of each teammate and captured it through the camera. After getting all of the videos filmed I went through hours of unedited content and put my creative ideas into the finished product. The videos will be posted to all of our social media along with a serious of "meet the team" for our social media.
