This Extra Is Hosting A Podcast

Today was a pretty eventful day for this publicity prodigy. I had two classes that really opened my mind and I had work. For my two classes I had Marketing Research and Strategic Public Relations.

In the marketing class, I had a presentation of research conducted by myself and the group I am apart of. We are in the process of helping the Erie Redevelopment Authority either revamp their marketing tactics or create entirely new ones. We presented our secondary research and started discussing our way into the primary research of the project. In the PR class we did a case study discussion and also took notes. the case study was on H&M and the sweatshirt crisis and how we would have handled it as PR Professionals in the company. Today was a fun Tuesday and very hands-on for me which is my favorite was to learn. I believe everything I am doing in class will come of use in the future and makes me feel as though I am already in the world of my dream regardless of the entry-level I am at.

After my classes, I went to work at The Gannon Edge. I started off work starting the creation of my new baby, which my new podcast. I am going to be doing a weekly podcast for the edge to drive more engagement of the Gannon students to the Edge website. I created an outline for the podcast which will be based on homecoming weekend and the festivities. I'm using this podcast to bring in the GU community to have a conversation whether it be one-way communication or social media engagement that communicates topics to talk about. Taking a break from that, I was given the opportunity to work with some of Gannon's media directors and videographers in the creation of virtual tours for the university. I stood back and watched one of my mentors Matt King, perform videography alongside being one of the extras in a 360 shot. I got to take part in everything it takes to create virtual tours for Gannon University.

These experiences are super important to have for the end goal I have which is becoming a publicist. I use the marketing and digital knowledge to truly having abroad variety of understanding into the field i cant wait to enter. Catch me back here next week to see what new experiences I endure!
